Seasonal Bliss

Just as people change over time, so do the seasons. One thing that I absolutely adore being a photographer is the changing of seasons because as the seasons change so do the holidays. Changing out sets and coming up with new ideas makes my “job” so fun and interesting. Some of my favorite holidays to change things up for are Christmas, Halloween and Valentine’s Day. Christmas and Valentine’s Day are great for boudoir sessions whether a client would like to gift their session to themselves or to their significant other! I would love to tell you all about the plans that I have for upcoming holidays!

My favorite holiday is Christmas. I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas due to religious reasons and I 100% understand that. The studio room will not contain any religious props in the set up. I may purchase a few religious props for anyone that would choose to add those into their shoot, but it will not be anything that is part of the actual set as I want to be able to offer these sessions to everyone. Instead of labeling my set for “Christmas”, I like to say the sessions are for the holidays but then that can be a tad confusing since there are holidays in every month! Walking in a Winter Wonderland is what one side of the rooms vibe is going to be! I will have my classic white brick wall up with the white sheer curtains in the window. The white chaise lounge will be an adorable addition to the aesthetic for boudoir or couple images. I will set up a white tree on this side of the room to have all of the cozy, white vibes for these shoots! For the holidays I will be offering mini and full sessions to anyone wanting to gift a session to themselves or to their significant other. On the other side of the studio room the red sequin wall will be featured a fireplace and the black upholstered bench. I will be able to accommodate individual portraits of children or adults on either of the sets. Both sets will also be available for boudoir and couple portraits as well! (Couples boudoir is also available at a slightly increased rate.) Very small families might be a possibility for these sets but I would need clients to reach out to determine if the size of the space would accommodate the family size in question, so please reach out if you’re wondering about family photos for the holidays.

I will have holiday prop items available for your session needs to add to the warm, cozy aesthetic. I may include a fireplace on the white side of the room to spice things up a bit! I will probably have holiday music playing in the studio room around the clock once November 1st hits! Something about the holidays just brings me such joy and I would love to share that joy with others.

The Christmas/Holiday set up will be available the very end of October through the first week of December. If you celebrate Christmas and you need to place an order for photo gifts, I would recommend getting scheduled by the middle of November to make sure you receive your products from the print store in time for your special events! These spots will fill fast and my availability is more limited starting in the month of October due to our family schedule.

While I understand that many people enjoy holidays, I also know that the holidays can be difficult for anyone that has experienced the loss of loved ones or other hardships. If anyone has a difficult time during the holiday seasons and needs someone to talk to, please feel free to reach out. I would love to offer support to anyone struggling, even if you do not want to do a photoshoot!

In the spirit of giving, does anyone think I should do a mini session give away for the holiday season?(:

If anyone has any fun ideas that they would like to contribute to my holiday setups, please feel free to reach out and maybe you’ll see some of your suggestions in my finalized holiday setups!
